Video: “Mingyur Rinpoche enters the path of the wandering yogi”:
Mingyur Rinpoche, youngest son of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, recently left his monastery in India to follow the life of a wandering yogi, staying in isolated retreats with no fixed plan or agenda. He didn’t take any possessions, food, or money, nor did he tell anyone where he was going. Here Tsoknyi Rinpoche talks about the importance of Mingyur Rinpoche’s retreat and the effect it has had on those close to him.

During a retreat at the Garrison Institute in July 2011, Sogyal Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche both spoke in moving terms about Mingyur Rinpoche's current retreat and how rare it is for someone to do this style of retreat in the modern world, even amongst Tibetan lamas.
